raid array 4100 threshold exceed error..
On Raid Array 4100 front panel amber led lit and and there is an event viever/System error message that says:
"Compaq Fibre Channel Array Physical Drive Status Change. The physical drive in port 1, bay 0 on array XXXXXXXXXXX has a new status of 4.
(Drive status values: 1=other, 2=unconfigured, 3=ok, 4=threshExceeded, 5=predictiveFailure, 6=failed)"
This message seen every month at last one time.
System must be online 24/24 so I could not aply any test..
Compaq support staff checked system and they said no prb. is this means disk error?

Re: raid array 4100 threshold exceed error..
If you have insight manager running you can go to storage...ra4100..physical disk
right-click on the specific disk and choose counters. Here you can see if there are any abnormal counter values. Compare them to other disks for instance. It looks like the disk is near to its end. If you have a hotspare i wouldn't do anything about it, just monitor it, if it fails let it be replaced.
