Replacing drives on a DS2300
I have a DS2300 that I would like to replace 2 drives from 18 gb to 72 gb. Do I need to do anything other than move the data off, replace the drives and rescan to see the new drives. The drives are all JBOD. How do you determine drive positions in the slots from path configuration

Re: Replacing drives on a DS2300
A full "ioscan -fn" is always better, but it looks like you have a split bus configuration.
In this case
slot1 --- SCSI ID 0
2 --- 1
...
7 --- 6
other bus
slot 8 --- ID 8
...
14 --- 14
BCC has ID 15
Remove all related config data before you replace the disks (LVM/VG related and device special files).
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
