SC 10

I have an L3000 with 11.I and it has a SC10 fully loaded attached. The problem is that the SC10(A5249A) itself is coming up as unclaimed. I can see the drives in the SC10 and the A5149A card okay. Why is the enclosure coming up as unclaimed?

Re: SC 10

You need to check if the SCSI id's on the drives of the enclosure are correctly set up and don't conflict.

Run dmesg and post the output.

Also, run mstm or xstm(X-Windows) and exercize the various disk components and see if anything comes up bad.

If all the disks are working and the card is working I would not be terribly worried, but I never want unclaimed hardware on my boxes.

Re: SC 10

Hi,
Your SC10 switch setting is set to work in Array mode (connecting with FC60). But actually you have connected as JBOD so what your SC10(A5249A) controller is coming up as unclaimed.
You need to change the switch setting of SC10 switch No:2 to ON to see the SC10 controller claimed.
The manual is in the link below: http://h20015.www2.hp.com/content/common/manuals/lpg28398/lpg28398.pdf;jsessionid=4FSB3MIOY3VXBQEXGRMENZQ

HTH.
