Updated SATA controller driver for Red Hat AS 4 needed

Updated SATA controller driver for Red Hat AS 4 needed

We installed Red Hat AS 4 in an HP Proliant ML150 G2 SATA. We must upgrade kernel(Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g minimum supported kernel requirement) from 2.6.9-5.ELsmp to 2.6.9-11.ELsmp. How can we get the SATA driver for that kernel?

Re: Updated SATA controller driver for Red Hat AS 4 needed

Thank you very much, Mahesh, for your answer. You gave us the right URL to get the SATA controller driver necessary to install Red Hat AS 4 in our HP Proliant ML150 G2 SATA. But Iâ m afraid it is of no help. My mail was undoubtedly not clear at all and Iâ ll try to explain our question:
- We did managed to install Red Hat AS 4 in our HP Proliant ML150 G2 SATA with that drive.
- We upgraded its kernel (rhn) to version 2.6.9-11.ELsmp (from 2.6.9-5.ELsmp).
- But system doesnâ t boot!
- We tried using that SATA driver, with no success.
- Is there any way to get the right SATA controller drive for that kernel?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

we're trying to do the same thing here -- i.e. use a proliant ml150 sata with red hat to run oracle AS 10g. Couldn't even get it to install though. Red Hat can't seem to find the hard drive. the bios sees it fine, but the installer can't.

I called red hat support and they said that they didn't support hardware raid *at all* which I thought was kind of weird. so I set my three raid drives to jbod but still no dice.

saw a somewhat disheartining post re proliant/sata/redhat here:

say it ain't so!
