Need button/URL to find first unread post
I've found several cases where the category page says there are unread posts but I can't find them. (Or I give up after looking at the first 5 or 6 pages of a board.)
It would be nice if there was a button to find them. Or even a secret URL that I could manually enter.
Perhaps like:
LIke the existing:
I suspect that there is a bug in the forum where the unread counts are off. And looking at 10 pages doesn't find them.
(I do know moderators have the capability of moving topics and keeping the old dates.
And yes, I know I can use "Mark all as Read".)

Re: Need button/URL to find first unread post
For discussion boards in the platform, the unread counts sum unread new topics and unread new replies to existing topics. In the first example, the "Best Practices and Methodology" board, the category one node above reported "11" new items. I checked the board, and there were four unread topics and seven new replies. This example, at least, appears valid.

The URLs above were my suggestion on how to find these broken unread counts, not they had one.
Basically I need a button that proves the forum is broken. Or finds the first unread post.
But right now this board is broken for me:
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/HP-ExpertOne/ct-p/hp-expert-one
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/HP-ExpertOne-Certification-Forum/bd-p/hp-expert-one-forum
HP ExpertOne Certification Forum (3) (See attachment for more proof.)
About the only thing special for me about this board was some topics that needed to be moved.
And with < 150 topics, it is easy to show that there are no unread posts.

Valid for who? You?
