Web Accessibility at HPE

Accessibility means making it possible for people with disabilities to access the same information and perform the same functions as everyone else. Help with Web access is available for people with all sorts of disabilities — visual, hearing and physical impairments, and cognitive and neurological disabilities.

HPE is committed to developing products, services, and information that are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities or age-related limitations. This commitment supports our company's diversity and brand and helps ensure the benefits of technology are available to all.

A few items to keep in mind when building digital content to help assistive technology users get the best experience:

  1.  use descriptive alt text for images
  2. add tags for buttons, links and web elements
  3. avoid empty headers or unnecessary decorative elements
  4. keep a strong contrast ration between text colour and background colour
  5. ensure all active elements receive keyboard focus
