SCSI question

I have a K370 with Fast and Wide Differential SCSI. I also have a tapebackup with SCSI 2. How can I get the two to work together so I can see the tape drive? What cable do I need?

Re: SCSI question

There are 'converter' boxes on the market.

I use to work with the DIGITAL StorageWorks DWZZB FWSE SCSI to FWD SCSI Signal Converter.
DWZZB is a Fast Wide Differential to Fast Wide Single-Ended SCSI bus extender and signal ...

They are platform agnostic, to if you can find an old (silver) DWZZB or any black box like it you will be in business.

Re: SCSI question

There is no cable that willo convert thye K470's HV FWD interface. The key is that HV means high voltage and is incompatible with any other version of SCSI interface. Thus, you need an electronic converter box. The HV interface can use extremely long cables but cannot work with any other SCSI interface.
