slow connection

I have two sites separated by about 10 Km.
To connect these sites we are using two FCIP routers the MP A7437A . I have created a disk in the remote site and presented to the main site. I am doing the backup using data protector to the disk.
It is very very slow although i have a 100 Mbit connection to the other site.
Is there any parameters that should I check the R_O_V ... ... ? .. other things ..

One thing to understand is that even though the two sites are 10 Km apart as the crow flies the distance the data packets travel can actually be much longer. It some cases up to 3 times longer.

You may want to check the latency of the circuits to see how long your network thinks it is traveling.
