Wrong information in HP support website
Hello community.
I need to do a quick restore for my old VLS 9000, using the last QR ISO firmware version available (6.1.0), but in the website, the info in "release notes" tab is wrong, because correspond to an upgrade from a zip file, not from an iso file.
I would like to get the correct info to do this work. Can anyone to help me please?
The link is this:
Regards..!

Re: Wrong information in HP support website
Here the info is speaking about a zip file, but the file for download is an iso. The iso must be burned, but there is not instructions for an iso file. For example for the previous version 3.4.1.1, you can see this
Totally different...!

Re: Wrong information in HP support website
I think I don't get your point ...
However, to upgrade a healthy running system you use the zip file, for restoring a damaged system to the same version you use quick rstore (ISO).
Both are here

Anyway, the page is from 2012, the product is older.
I guess nobody will ever make correction if there is something not exactly right ...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Wrong information in HP support website
Thank you Torsten, but the situation is simple.
In the link you sent me, If you select the iso file, from the list of firmwares or if you select the zip file, the text in the "release notes" tabs, is identical in both cases. But obviously, installing the upgrade using a zip or an iso are different steps. For an zip you need to upgrade from the GUI. So, the instructions in that section (both) are definitely for a zip file
Those tabs are duplicated..!
My system in not healthy, so I have to use the iso, but I dont see the correct istructions, because in both cases, they are for a zip file.
Do you get the pont now?
Thanks...!

Re: Wrong information in HP support website
thanks. Thats better.
Although the paper does not mention especifically the version 6.1.0.
I see some differences from the older 3.4.1 when you define the slave node. I will check the info you sent me....
Thanks again...!
