Configuring Docker for installing HPE Swarm Learning

Hi,

HPE Swarm Learning has just released version 2.0. When I set up I had a problem setting up Docker. I have the following questions:

1. Before I install HPE Swarm Learning, do I need to connect the machines using Docker first? And if the answer is yes, please let me know how. I've never worked on Docker.

2. In the installation requirements, there is talk about configuration for Docker. Detail:

Container hosting platform
  • HPE Swarm Learning is qualified with Docker 20.10.5. Configure Docker to use IPv4.

  • Configure Docker to run as a non-root user. For more details, see Manage Docker as a non-root user.

  • Configure network proxy settings for Docker. For more details, see HTTP/HTTPS proxy.

I don't understand these requirements. Can someone who has configured successfully give me detailed instructions for configuring it?

3. Platforms like Google Colab and Kaggle support Docker, can I use them as an SL node?

I would love to install HPE Swarm Learning successfully. I am looking forward to all the helpers. Thank you very much.

Re: Configuring Docker for installing HPE Swarm Learning

Hi,

I could not find any info from HPE, about using Colab or Kaggle docker.
I found this documentation in the user guide about Docker.

Here are some more resources of Docker from HPE:

Thank You!
