Can`t see MSA1000 WWINs at host side
Hello, All.
Please help in this situation:
I have MSA1000 (firm v.4.32 build 300, Hw Rev.7) connected (was tried via MSA Fabric switch 6 or via IO module + SAN switch) with host (tried Alpha ES40 + HBA FCA-2354/LP9002 firm v.392A2 and Alpha 4100 + HBA KGPSA/LP8000 firm v.391A1).
At host adapters was tried in FABRIC and LOOP topologies (usually in FABRIC).
At MSA1000 controller all disks has identifiers (CLI>set unit_id , where u=i=0..6).
At MSA1000 controller I see connections from HBA, at swith see links from all points also...
But I never see WWIDs in SRM-console (typed P00>>>wwidmgr -show wwid), and, of course, I can`t use LUNs.
WHY? WHERE I AM WRONG?

Re: Can`t see MSA1000 WWINs at host side
WWIDMGR will usually list a LUN even when no identifier has been set - in that case the UDID is shown as -1.
The embedded MSA Fabric Switch 6 is not supported with AlphaServers and I recall a previous thread where somebody else has already tried it, too. Unsuccessful.

Double check your connection "profiles" are set to the correct host OS and ACL's are not restricting access.

Re: Can`t see MSA1000 WWINs at host side
Thanks, All !
After I assign Profile=OpenVMS (at controller CLI) all of WWIDs are available :)) , but only in cofiguration with IO-module + external switch, so Fabric Switch 6 really not applicable in Alpha-segment... :(
