Controllers

Hello,

Can anybody who has worked with HP or knows about this one, help me? Is there anywhere I can find details,manuals and troubleshooting guides on the different controllers (e.g SWXCR/raid controllers/Emulex/HSg/HSZ/HSC/HSJ etc), pretty most of the ones found on cybrary(HP people know wht cybrary is)

Well, lots of that stuff (cybrary) isn't publically available, however, what is available is found on the external website.

I often find google to be really good at finding stuff, too. Sometimes it's faster to find it on the internet... ;-)

If you really need something specific, why not ask one of your old HP contacts?

Actually I am starting with HP next month, in training right now. Basically I am confused between all these different controllers and just needed some reference material for troubleshooting purposes. Did try on google but someof these things are so ancient tht i cant find anything. And apparently cybrary is not being updated recently.

However, maybe u can help me here a bit. All i basically need is some sort of a general guideline where these controllers are used(what systems) and some troubleshooting tips. Specifically - SWXCR and the HSJs.

Good news & bad news.

The good news is that Docs on the SWXCR and HSJ are in the Cybrary. The SWXCR was used in the RA230. The HSJ docs didn't make the street name of the array obvious.

The bad news is that almost all of the documents are way too large to post here, and (although I didn't look because of their size), probably proprietary.

So, you'll have to wait until you have access yourself.
