EMS POLLING
How can I change the ems polling time?
One one of our servers I was told by the SAN tech that the polling is set to one minute and he suggested a 60 minute polling time.
Any/all help will be greatly appreciated and points will be promptly given.
Thanks, Andy

Re: EMS POLLING
Andy,
Can you be more specific about which monitor or polling this refers to? For most monitors, the default polling time is 15 or 60 minutes. It is set in the .cfg file for the monitor in /var/stm/config/tools/monitor. dm_chassis is an exception, polling every minute, but there are good reasons for that (and there are not the same performance implications there would be for polling disk devices, for example).

Re: EMS POLLING
Andrew,
I found the .cfg file and the polling time is set the way we want it. I had misinformation initially.
Thank you for your response.
