It's a complex process that is described in the SMA's User Guide (AA-RS0AD-TE).
Don't forget to re-run a local SAN discovery in case your have renamed your SMA --- guess how I found that out?

On the hosts with SecurePath installed, you can use "spmgr notify" to set up email notifications - but this only covers problems with paths/luns on the server you are running SecurePath on.

You could also ask HP to load the EVE product on the SMA. Lot simpler to setup and the messages are clearer.
