EVA8100 connection using patch pannel.
Hi
For our new DC we are going to put a new SAN,it is EVA 8100 , if we connect the cotroller to the MDS9000 switch using patch pannel, it will affect the performance or anything? i am ready to connect the Host to the san switch using patch pannel but the controller to the switch i recommend direct connection can any one advise me for the same.

Re: EVA8100 connection using patch pannel.
It should not make any difference as long as:
1) The optical connectors fit properly and are aligned, so there are no errors on the link
2) The total lenght of the optical path does not exceed the SFP limit (150 meters for 4 Gb for example)
