Fibre Channel Controller Error

I have received the following errors on my Windows 2003 server. "Fibre Channel controller status change. The fibre channel controler in slot 0 has a new status of 6. (host controller status values: 1=other,2=ok,3=failed,4=shutdown,5=connectionDegraded,6=connectionFailed)) How do I correct the connection problem?

Re: Fibre Channel Controller Error

Yvette,
you need to find out why there is a link failure.

It could be something trivial like someone pulled or damaged the cable or a broken GBIC/SFP, somebody disabled the wrong switch port, etc.

Can you describe your hardware environment a little bit?

I did reply to the other post

It seems like HBA connection failure.

Re: Fibre Channel Controller Error

Can anyone point me to the doc that explains how to disable this? Thanks in advance.
