host base mirroring

Hi Experts,

I have to do host base mirroring between two storage which are at distance of around 25 KM.

What criteria do I have to consider for it like Fiber type, storage (Hitachi) etc?

Thanks in advance to all.

Hi,
maybe the SAN design guide could give you an inspiration:

Re: host base mirroring

hi,

as long as the storage arrays are supported by the host operating system it's then a matter of the latency that your apps that are going to use this will stand.
which host operating system are we talking about windows , hp-ux , openvms, linux ?

Re: host base mirroring

Hello,

you should use a DWDM link between the two datacenters. Minimum Serviceguard version for this configurationis 11.16 and LVM mirroring is supported for 2 or 4 cluster nodes. Storage vendor does not really matter, just pick a supported box.
