MPIO Question
Is MPIO still needed if our storage array only has a single FC connection?
We have a MSA1500 that only has a single controller and single FC connection that we are using for some testing. However the server that is going to attach to it has 2 HBAs that go to 2 different switches which connect to a single core FC switch where the MSA is connected. Will our server still see the LUNs twice because of the 2 HBAs?

Re: MPIO Question
A single MSA1000 controller should not have access to multiple FC adapters from a single host. I don't know about MPIO, but I've heard that the old Secure Path did not work properly in such a situation.
You can set up zoning in the FC switch so that only one adapter port has access to the single controller. In that case MPIO is not required.
