MSA controller removal

If I have two controllers, can I remove 1 from the front to mimic a controller failure to see what happens? Will there be any problems when I reinsert it?

No, you cannot simulate a controller failure that way. Depending on the controller revision and its position you risk freezing the MSA !!

Controller failover is initiated by the hosts. If you want to test that - just pull the fiber cable of the active controller and let the hosts do some I/O.
