NT4: Secure Path Agent cannot communicate with Manager
Hi!
I've got a handfull Server connected redundant to a EVA3000. All work fine, but the NT4 machines cannot be displayed in Secure Path Management (installed on the SMA). The W2000 and W2003 Server have no problem, for the NT machines I created a separate profile in SP Manager. If the profile is opened, the Windows "Gathering Agend Data, please wait ..." appears but never get any result ot timeout.
Secure Path is version 4.0C-7 (Agent & Manager), HBAs are FCA2101 with up to date driver and firmware, NT4 has SP6a installed.
Has anyone made related experience?

Re: NT4: Secure Path Agent cannot communicate with Manager
Are there any SecurePathAgent entries in the application event log that might explain the failure?
Have you checked your DNS setup for correct forward/reverse name resolution of the SMA? We had one case with the same problem which was solved after fixing the reverse DNS lookup (try nslookup ip.of.sma.box). Depending on what you use for name resolution on your NT4 servers WINS might also be worth a look.
Is "spmgr.exe display" giving you sensible output (after setting the password with spmgr.exe passwd; program should be located in C:\Program Files\Compaq\SecuePath\SPMgr)? This way you can at least verify that the Agent password is set to what you think it should be.
