Ref: HSZDisk Error
Hello All,
I am a beginner or novice user in storage so i guess i need your help.
In past i have posted one question in regards to HSZDisk Error and i found out that there is some problem with my storage controller battery. I have attached a jpg file which shows the storage model and status of the battery.
Now i request you people to please let me know exact part number of cache battery module for storage MA8000 (HSZ80) so that i can replace the battery and secondly can this battery be changed online i mean is it hot swap?? Is there a procedure i have to follow to change the battery.
Secondly i have contacted HP with this and i got a product Serial number which Distributor says is obselete. So please who ever knows the part number of the new one or the model of battery which should be replace with this let me know.
I am attaching the serial number and model type with this message and the error would be in my next message
Thanks and regards
Md.Anwaruddin

Re: Ref: HSZDisk Error
Hello,
the cache batteries can be replaced online, using the serial-console to the HSG80 controller. (The command is RUN FRUTIL)
Here's a guide on how to do it:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00310593/c00310593.pdf
And the part number you would need is 221771-001 or 70-33547-S2
Regards,
Stephen
