Re: Scanmaster

The sanscan tool is a script that reads the fc switch configuration from all switches within a SAN and builds a html output file with all the information.

It's verry handy when going to a customer site and you want to get a quick view of the SAN configuration.

The scanmaster tool is supposed to be the enhanced version, i'm hoping this inculdes the scanning of an Enterprise Virtual Array config.

Re: Scanmaster

Aw nuts. I just noticed I haven't updated my browser favorites, but as I recall, the SANscan page now has the ScanMaster kit.

Re: Scanmaster

That is probably an internal link for HP engineers? Is there no external link available?

Re: Scanmaster

Hi Patrick,

First things first - Scanmaster is sanscan v2.0. It was renamed recently. It is a data collection tool for SAN infrastructure devices and hosts. It is HP proprietary, and you should not be running it without HP permission.

Re: Scanmaster

Curt is absolutely right. Only HP Engineers and Partner implementation Engineers are allowed to have Scanmaster, and even partners need permission from HP to run it.
