windows platform kits

I can't find any updated platform kits for windows. Do we just download drivers of hbas from storageworks website of HP and proceed with driver upgrade by clicking on the adapter and then update driver? I'm used to install/upgrade HBAs driver by using the platform kits. Please advise.

Re: windows platform kits

The platform kits (a package of: documentation, SSSU and the drivers) are gone.

The array documentation pages on the web list the so-called 'connectivity guides'. SSSU is available from the 'Command View EVA' download pages. And the Fibre Channel adapter device drivers from their specific web pages as well.

I would look for the so-called 'Smart Components'. That is a package (again ;-) of device driver and installer, which makes sure that the correct parameters are set, e.g. in the Windows registry.

Thanks. I have attached a sample of one of the drivers I've downloaded and ran. Is this the one you are mentioning about?

Re: windows platform kits

Hi,

Windows platformkits are still available see URL:

Funny thing is that all kind of OS's are there except HP's own HPUX!!

Ben

Re: windows platform kits

But Christopher was looking for updated platform kits! Show me a platform kit for, e.g., the EVA3000/5000 V3.0G or V3.0H connectivity guides.
