Veeam Plugin for Morpheus Enterprise

Hello!

At the end of last year, the official beta plugin for HPE Morpheus VM Essentials got released. We evaluated the plugin and were satisfied by the results so far.

https://community.veeam.com/blogs-and-podcasts-57/veeam-plug-in-for-hpe-morpheus-vm-essentials-explained-12525

Since we are planning to use Morpheus Enterprise for migrating our VMWare cloud, we were hoping this plugin would also be released for Morpheus Enterprise as well. Is there any development regarding the integration into the Enterprise environment as well? When we tested, Veeam wasnt able to see the VMs that were assigned to a customers subtenant, making the integration more or less useless within our planned environment.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Re: Veeam Plugin for Morpheus Enterprise

Apologies as I'm just seeing your question - it's been a busy few months.

All of the features in VM Essentials are in Morpheus Enterprise (but not all of Enterprise is in Essentials). The integration that Veeam has done for image based backup is with our HVM hypervisor. HVM is part of Morpheus Enterprise - so I have no doubts that you can use the Veeam plug-in with Morpheus Enterprise.

Think of it this way - HPE Morpheus Software is the product. VM Essentials is a subset of Morpheus Software while Morpheus Enterprise is all of the features including our HVM run-time.

Re: Veeam Plugin for Morpheus Enterprise

Hi!
I have not tested this and don't know if it works but there are two things to consider with Veeam (or any other backup or replication integration):

1. the integration itself in Backup - Integrations

2. you must go into the cloud properties and add it as backup provider.

There is probably a group ownership/assignment aspect as well.
