Failed adding a new node to my cluster

Hi Guys, I have hit an issue while adding 1 of my physical server into my cluster. Previously I have 3 host in my cluster

1. vme01

2. vme02

3. vme05

But i reformatted my vme02, removed from the cluster and re added the new vme02 back to the cluster. During the process, I check on the History and noticed that the post provision have stucked at Run Script: Pacemaker Configuration and it automatically fail after 30 minutes. Thus I am unable to readd my server back into the cluster.

Re: Failed adding a new node to my cluster

Were you able to resolve the issue? Was it caused by incorrect network configuration or something else?
Thank you for sharing this with us.

I have encountered similar issue in my nested environment with third freshly installed host.

Re: Failed adding a new node to my cluster

Yes - for some reason i was using option 2 (Ubuntu + HWE) off the unified installer (HVM_Install_24.04.ISO_8.0.8_S5Q83-11031.iso). - choosing minimal for the OS and allowing it to update - which as a result broke all this.

Returned to option 1, and that got me to the point where i have a cluster - still having different issues now with pacemaker but not spent the time to troubleshoot yet. (H1 won't talk to H3 - something about SSH)

Re: Failed adding a new node to my cluster

Hi sixp,

In case of issues with the ssh between the hosts, I would check if the MTU mazch to the settings on the physical switch. Often people follow the guides with MTU 9000, while their switch settings are set default with MTU 1500.
