Got a question around security policies and networks.

We use PF Sense firewalls and in order to link them using CARP/VIPs in vmware we need to override the security settings of the port group.

Is this possible in HVM?

I'm not seeing anything specific to KVM besides using virtio or e1000. We already default to virtio NIC.  I don't believe there is anything specifically needed for HVM.  You could try modifying within the guest os 'ip link set eth0 promisc on'
