HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software cannot refresh inventory from VMware v 8.x
Hello, everyone,
I have a POC with a ProLiant DL380 running VME v9 with a connection to VMware 8x.
The integration works fine, but when restoring from Veeam, a new VM is created on a new data store created in vCenter using the Alletra plugin.
The DS was added to the inventory after refreshing the VMware cloud in VME Manager, but when I check the list of discovered VMs, the new VM isn’t listed.
I ran the refresh again, but it still doesn’t appear. Any idea what might be causing this problem?
Or how could I properly refresh the VMware inventory?
hanks in advance

Re: HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software cannot refresh inventory from VMware v 8.x
Hello @JEBALTAZARM
Since the datastore was discovered after refreshing the VMware cloud, but the newly restored VM is still not appearing in the VME Manager inventory, it could be related to the VM discovery or inventory synchronization process.
I would suggest checking whether the VM is visible and powered on in vCenter, and then performing a full refresh of the VMware cloud/inventory in VME Manager. Also, verify that the datastore and VM are accessible to the VME Manager integration account and that there are no related errors in the VME Manager logs.
Regards,
Sanika.

Re: HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software cannot refresh inventory from VMware v 8.x
If I were trying to troubleshoot this (and my technical depth is self-admitted as shallow), I'd focus on on things that explain how the datastore discovered and VM not. Is it possible that a Veeam restore may place a VM into a different folder or resource pool than expected?
