Cache upgrade question

Hi I have to upgrade the cache in a customers HF20H, the cache slots are currently fully populated with 2x 240GB in Drive A and 2x 480 in Drive B.

the 2x480GB cache field upgrade has been purchased. Question is can i just replace the cache drives in Drive A with the larger drives.

Is there any special procedures i need to follow. Documentation only talks about adding drives to Drive B

Thanks

Re: Cache upgrade question

Hello,

Yes, you may replace the SSDs in bank A, one at a time. Wait for 24 hours, before replacing the second SSD.

Please Be Advised: When you remove one SSD, you're removing up to 25% of the cache and evicting that data from cache until the new SSD is installed and the cache has been churned.

Hi Thanks for the follow up.

The customer has put a hold on the upgrade until may.
