Hi, does anyone have a procedure or step-by-step guide on how to replace a controller for the HPE NS HF60 Hybrid CTO Base Array? Does replacing a controller need downtime? Or is it just a hot-swap?

SolutionHi,
Here is the link to controller replacement guide https://infosight.hpe.com/InfoSight/media/cms/active/public/pubs_Controller_Replacement_HPE_Alletra_5000__Nimble_Storage_AFxx__HFxx.pdf
Controller replacement is hot swappable and no down time is needed. However, please do make sure to perform a failover to check if hosts can see all the paths as expected. ie, make the controller (the one you wish to replace) as standby.

Re: Controller Replacement
Hi Buzzsubash,
Do I need also to follow the steps regarding log-in to the array using CLI?

Re: Controller Replacement
Hi fparas,
Yes, if the controller is online, it is not recommended to abruptly pull off as part of replacement. Please do login to the array CLI using admin account and follow the instructions to halt the controller.
