OneView getting current firmware information
We've been running a lot of firmware updates recently (Our servers are DL360 G10, DL380 G10, and DL560 G10s) and OneView quite frequently struggles to run some updates. Usually with the NVMe Backplane firmware or the E208i-a firmware. We usually have to intervene and update through the iLO interface or directly from the OS.
After it has been updated, OneView never seems to be able to see that. We run refresh after refresh and it just keeps stating firmware is inconsistent. Shouldn't a refresh operation let OneView ascertain the actual firmware installed and update it's internal database with that information and then update the server profile consistency?

Re: Query: OneView getting current firmware information
No, my question is, why doesn't OneView seem to perform a firmware inventory and update its database with the information discovered from iLO? It just keeps insisting that the firmware it failed to install is still in error.

Re: Query: OneView getting current firmware information
@BradV please open a support case. That is the only way to identify what is going on here.

Re: OneView getting current firmware information
I can not add to much to the resolution of this case, but you are spot on with Profile showing Inconsistent. It seems the fix is to change the Firmware Bundle from "Firmware and drivers using SUT" to "Firmware Only" just to apply one Firmware that does not get updated for one reason or another. Doing the Firmware only solution is yet another 2o to 30 minutes process just to apply one Firemware update. Has such an issue last night with the Power Management Controller Firmware not being updated. I had to change this parameter to Firmware only to get it to update properly. It seems Gen10 server are far more worse to update then Gen9 and Gen8 servers.
