Smart Array controller and TRIM on SSD

I'm interested in running some non-HP SSD drives in my servers, and wonder if the current line of SmartArray controllers pass the ATA TRIM command to the drives?  I can't seem to find confirmation of this online elsewhere, so I thought I'd ask here.
