Can't SSH onto either controller "Network error: Software caused connection abort"
Hi all,
I have a two host cluster and I can't ssh onto either of my 2 omnistack VCs. Try to ssh and I get "Network error: Software caused connection abort" (google search was no use). I restarted one of them but still can't get on (had to power if off via VC).
Simplvity plugin isn't working either "HPE SimpliVity Plug-in cannot complete the task because it cannot contact the Virtual Controller", which is why I'm trying to lgon to the controllers.
They're running. Can click on the console in vCenter and see them using resources in performance monitor.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Can't SSH onto either controller "Network error: Software caused connection abort
Hi Laffeyd
May I suggest the user try the latest putty? This error message is commonly due to encryption algorithm mismatch or other client-side settings.
Regards
Mahesh.

Thansk for the suggestion Mahesh202, but it didn't work. I upgraded putty to the latest (0.78), but got the same error (Works for SSH onto the hosts).

Is this happening on any OVC? Can you login using the console and get status of the OVCs that way? Is your plugin the same version of the Simplivity software?

Re: Can't SSH onto either controller "Network error: Software caused connection abort
Happening for both of my 2 OVCs.
Didn't think I was suppossed to use the consoles, but I can open them but I have no control. Just has 'sysrq: SysRq : Show Memory, for both of them.
Regarding versions, without access I don't know how to check the simpliVity version. Doubt they have been changed since deployment. I know my plugin, 17.25, is out of date but I don't have support to get an update. Logged a ticket to purchase support, for this issue, on Monday. Today they asked me for serials before they can transfer it to the relevant team. So seems I could be waiting awhile, if that's as far as my ticket has got after me contacting them 3 times.
