Re: Factory Reset Over ILO
Hi Gaisu,
Please try this

In some cases, user might need to reset iLO to the factory default settings. For example, user must reset iLO to the default settings when user disables FIPS mode. User can use the iLO 5 configuration utility, the iLO RESTful API, or RIBCL scripts to perform this task.
To use the iLO 5 configuration utility, see Resetting iLO to the factory default settings (iLO 5 Configuration utility)
To use the iLO RESTful API, see the iLO RESTful API documentation at the following website: Click here to access the iLO RESTful API Ecosystem .
Events related to the reset are not logged to the iLO event log and integrated management Log because this step clears all the data in the logs.
Procedure
Optional: If user access the server remotely, start an iLO remote console session.
Restart or power on the server.
Press F9 in the server POST screen.
The UEFI System Utilities start.
From the System Utilities screen, click System Configuration, and then click iLO 5 Configuration utility.
Select Yes in the Set to factory defaults menu.
The iLO 5 Configuration Utility prompts user to confirm the request.
Click OK.
iLO resets to the factory default settings. If user is managing iLO remotely, the remote console session is automatically ended. User cannot access the iLO 5 Configuration Utility again until after the next system reboot.
Resume the boot process:
Optional: If user is managing iLO remotely, wait for the iLO reset to finish, and then start the iLO remote console.
The iLO 5 Configuration Utility screen is still open from the previous session.
Press Esc until the main menu is displayed.
Click Exit and resume system boot.
When prompted to confirm the request, click OK to exit the screen and resume the boot process.
Optional: Use the default iLO account information to log in to iLO after the reset, which is on the serial label pull tab attached to the server.

Re: Factory Reset Over ILO
Hello @Gaisu
Thank you for using HPE Simplivity forum.
Factory Reset will always be much faster when using a USB directly connected to the system. When using iLO the best way I can think of for making it faster is to put the Simplivity factory reset files on a server in the same subnet as the Simplivity system or very close to it. Have you checked how fast is the iLO interface communicating over the network?
Hope it helps.

Re: Factory Reset Over ILO
4.0 introduced a much smaller factory reset image 800mb vrs the 9gb of the older versions so this should be quicker and less prone to errors then the older method.
