Hello,

Your best guide is the HPE SimpliVity 6.2.0 for HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software Documentation.

You can review the deployement section which will detail the required steps to succsfully deploy the SimpliVity VM Essentials solution.

Ynt: Simplivity 325 installation guide with vme

Hi,

Yes, HPE provides an official deployment guide for HPE SimpliVity with HPE Morpheus VM Essentials (VME).

For a new two-node SimpliVity 325 deployment, the recommended high-level workflow is;

Rack and cable both nodes with redundant network connectivity.
Prepare the required IP addresses, VLANs, DNS, NTP, gateway, iLO, host management, VM, and SimpliVity/storage network details.
Install or verify the HPE SimpliVity HVM Base OS image on each node.
Deploy VM Essentials Manager and complete the HPE SimpliVity Initial Setup Workflow for both hosts.
Create the HVM cluster from VM Essentials Manager.
Deploy an Arbiter outside the two-node SimpliVity cluster.
Deploy the SimpliVity Virtual Controllers (SVCs) and create the SimpliVity cluster/federation.

Please note that a “preconfigured” system normally includes the compatible factory image, firmware, and licensing. Site-specific items such as network configuration, VLANs, IP addressing, DNS/NTP, switch configuration, and cluster settings still need to be completed during deployment.

For a two-node configuration, the Arbiter design is important and should not be skipped. It must remain outside the SimpliVity cluster to provide an independent quorum decision point.

The official HPE deployment workflow is available here;

Also, please follow the documentation that matches the version shipped with the system. SimpliVity 325 Gen11 with VME requires SimpliVity 6.0.0 or later.
