SimpliVity Battery error, SSD cache disabled
When the SimpliVity battery has failed and cache is disabled, is it recommended to move out all the VMs from this node? Or even shutdown this node until the battery is replaced?
Since there is a limit to the lifespan of these batteries, can we request that these batteries to be replaced every 3 to 5 years as part of the proactive maintenance, instead of waiting for them to fail first? Just like what we always do for the UPS similarly?

Re: Query: SimpliVity Battery error, SSD cache disabled
1. How do I access this CISCO management console?
2. This seems to be an incomplete page.

Re: Query: SimpliVity Battery error, SSD cache disabled
It wouldn't hurt to do it before you replace the part. Regarding the proactive replacement of the part, we don't currently offer that option.
