Hide stopped Indexes
Hi,
is there a way to hide (=only show started) Monitor Indexes in a device view? I have attached an image to illustrate what i mean.
My procedure to add an index like shown in the image is the following:
1. I create the custom index in "Global Index Settings".
2. I add only the instance to the device in "Monitor Settings", which I want to monitor (in this example I added only the Active Power 5)
3. In the device page, I click on "Modifiy Display Index" and select the indexes to be displayed.
But after all of that, IMC show me all unused inedexes again...
my imc version is 7.3 E0705P10

Re: Hide stopped Indexes
Hi,
I have tried removing the index for the column and it worked. I removed average CPU index even though it was monitoring. I just went to modify and deleted it. I tested it on older version iMC though 7.2 E0403P10. If possible please share the screenshot of modify index from the device view and also details about the custom index which was created.

Re: Hide stopped Indexes
Hi,
thanks for your answer.
Here is the user defined Index for my device to monitor the power usage:
I think the problem here is, that under the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.13742.6.5.2.3.1.6.1.1 (which is the active Usage in Watt), there are 6 instances, see this screenshot:
In the monitoring settings of the device, I only started instance 5, this is what I want to monitor, see this screenshot:
In the device view, under "Modify Display Indexes" it looks like this:
Regardless of the settings above, all 6 instances are showen in the device view, even if they are not currently active., see here:
