HP IMC

I have problem with setting up switches for SNMP can anyone guide me what are the setting should i do in th switch if i add new H3C switch to Network???

Which version of SNMP are you looking to use?

 

V3 is assumed on the H3C switches - if you want to "downgrade" to SNMP V1/2 you'll have to tell the switch with "snmp-agent sysinfo version all". You'll then get your community strings to work etc.

 

I would stick with V3 for the security benefits but it is a bit of a pain to set up. The online help will guide you through at the IMC end and simply type "h3c SNMP v3" into google and a document with "copy and paste configuration examples" will be one of the top selections. This will help you set up the switch end.
