HP Systems Insight Manager quick question
Does HP SIM support Proliant G7 servers? We have recently acquired a company with 37 remote offices running HP DL380 G7s. I do not have much experience with HP management systems. I have SCOM up and running, but I thought it would be nice to have HP SIM up and running to push out firmware and updates to all these servers- HP seems to have a real problem with buggy firmware. According to the HP SIM website, it can be used to manage all Proliant servers. But, instructions for establishing comms between servers and SIM are all for G8s and 9s. Manually connecting the G7 only gives a ping health check and a state of "Unmanaged". Is HP SIM simply not an option for G7 servers? Is there an equivalent option to manage them?

Re: HP Systems Insight Manager quick question
Hello @vedabhyas,
Looks like the SIM is compatible with G7 as well. Please refer pg no 74 of this document. There is some support details of SIM with G7 - https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c02817189&docLocale=en_US

Hello @hobby21,
Did you find the document link that I shared useful in your case? Or are looking for an advice from @vedabhyas on what actually worked for him.
