Java on windows ISEE clients
Hi !
In the install guide for windows ISEE clients, it says Microsoft JVM is a prerequisite.
But is this true? Shouldn't SUN Java JRE be OK as well?
Best regards
Mikael

Re: Java on windows ISEE clients
Hi,
ISEE uses Microsoft JVM, not Sun Java. This software package is bundled with ISEE:
To install the Microsoft jview files browse to the directory where you downloaded
the ISEEPlatform.exe, during the ISEE client software download (see
├в Downloading ISEE Client Software├в on page 37). Double click
ISEEPlatform.exe to extract the contents.
b. Execute the following command from the ISEEPlatform subdirectory:
msjavx86.exe
After installing this file, you will be prompted to reboot the machine.
c. Then, from the same directory, execute:
MSJava_WindowsUpdate.exe
After installing this file, you will be prompted to reboot the machine.
Hope this helps,

Re: Java on windows ISEE clients
Thanks! Then we'll have to install MS JVM.
Imagine why HP uses MS Java, when this is discontinued, due to my knowledge.
Best regards
Mikael
