Runner issue
Customer has upgraded to A.03.95.500.26
pls. clarify me the runner functionality which is concerned of the syslog usage. Runner try to goes through the all messages in syslog.log file avery some inetrval or do something else ?
There is evidence that the runner immediatelly after start processes /sbin/init.d/runner start to catch the syslog.log and form that time nevr to closed the syslog.log file.
Could any one guide me how to handle this. Runner process takes up cpu resources after opening syslog.log file. Can we stop syslog deamon.

Please follow the link provided by A. van Berk to either:
1. upgrade to current runner version
2. disable runner from running on the Server.
NOTE: Runner is High Availability application to collect System UP & DOWN time. This report is used by the Mission Critical Account Team.
