WBEM subscribe: FAILED to create indication subscription

Any ideas about how to debug a
FAILED to create indication subscription
message when subscribing to WBEM events
from SIM/RSP 5.3 to an HP-UX 11.23 server?

I've used the same procedure that has worked
on a number of other servers.

Thanks!

Firstly, can you see any subscription creation problems in
/var/sam/log/samlog ? It may be helpful if you compare the samlog file
with that on other HP-UX servers.

Secondly, can you find any errors in /opt/sfm/log/sfm.log at the subscription
creation ?

Re: WBEM subscribe: FAILED to create indication subscription

Thanks for the response.

I couldn't see anything in SAM log about WBEM subscriptions, neither failed nor successful ones.

There wasn't anything meaningful in the sfm log either.

I ended up deleting the servers from SIM,
removing and reinstalling SysFaultMgmt, and
re-discovering the servers one at a time.

After all that, I was able to get them to
subscribe to WBEM events.

Note to HP: Replacing ISEE with SIM / RSP is just pure rotten garbage! This blunder makes the New Coke fiasco look like a minor misstep. I'd think heads would roll at HP over this incredibly bad decision.

After a lot of tries, here's what I found:

Check in WEBES, https://:7906
see if there is an entry for the server in the WEBES managed entity list.
If not, add one. Leave the discover protocols block checked.
Put anything in the Entitlement ID field. There needs to be something there, but it is not checked.
If the server is there, check to be sure there is a value in the Entitlement ID.
