Change CPU between partitions - SD Itanium
I have a SD Itanium with 4 partitions.
Partition 1 - 2 CPU
Partition 2 - 10 CPU
Partition 3 - 2 CPU
Partition 4 - 2 CPU
I need change CPU the partition 4 to partition 2, for example:
This will:
Partition 2 - 11 CPU
Partition 4 - 1 CPU
How could i run (execute) this change? This Machine don't work with VPAR.
Partition 1 - 2 CPU
Partition 2 - 10 CPU
Partition 3 - 2 CPU
Partition 4 - 2 CPU
I need change CPU the partition 4 to partition 2, for example:
This will:
Partition 2 - 11 CPU
Partition 4 - 1 CPU
How could i run (execute) this change? This Machine don't work with VPAR.

Re: Change CPU between partitions - SD Itanium
You can only assign a whole cell with all memory, cpu and I/O to a partition (without virtualization, e.g. vPars).
So check if you can change the cell assignments. Otherwise you can swap cpu modules from cell to cell ...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Change CPU between partitions - SD Itanium
Thanks!
Then only physical change. I thought be possible for commands. for example: vparmodify. I thought the parmodify could work similar to vparmodify, getting I/O to a partition and add them in another, but as it is not possible.
Very grateful.
