Console Connection

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone please advise how can I connect to my rx2620 servers to do OS installation ?

Any documents that describe that?

There are 2 possible ways, the console can be either on serial line/MP or VGA.

Start EFI shell and run

Shell> conconfig

to see the current settings.

The EFI shell output goes to all possible devices.

You can reach the MP (if installed) by network (default is DHCP - see label) or serial null modem cable.

I guess the user guide has more information.

If I don't have the female to female cable with me then the only options is to try iLO MP LAN but how to do it ?

ILO 2 MP LAN

By default, the iLO 2 MP LAN uses DHCP to retrieve a new LAN address for itself if the firmware version on the iLO 2 MP is E.03.15 or newer. When this occurs, the default hostname is set to â mpâ .

Access MP through the Web browser by entering â https://mp/â , or through telnet at hostname
â mpâ . For example, if the MAC address is 00306e22b403, you would enter the following
URL: https://mp00306e22b403/.
