EFI SHell MAP shows not fsX map file
Hi ,
We faced a problem on HPUX RX2660 Server booting problem. It failed to auto boot. Then we tried to boot it from HPUX EFI shell. But in EFI shell mode, when we execute it shows :
EFI Shell UEFI version 2.00 [14.62]
Device mapping table
blk0 : Acpi(HWP0002,PNP0A03,0)/Pci(2|1)/Usb(0, 0)
blk1 : Acpi(HWP0002,PNP0A03,200)/Pci(1|0)/Scsi(Pun7,Lun0)

Re: EFI SHell MAP shows not fsX map file
Is there an integrated RAID configured?
I would check if it is disabled (for any unknown reason) and try to activate it.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: EFI SHell MAP shows not fsX map file
Hi,
Actually someone try to create a VG on wrong PV ( which is the system boot disk):
# grep -i lvm /var/adm/syslog/OLDsyslog.log
Dec 6 19:58:54 inctst01 LVM[6900]: vgcreate -s 64 /dev/vg02 /dev/dsk/c1t6d0
After that long time the system was not powered down. When it was down it did not find its boot disk, even its EFI file system is corrupted. The system was restored by the HELP of HP Backline. They boot the system using the OS dvd in recovery mode. Then restore the EFI file system.
