hard drive compatibility
Hello Everyone,
Sorry for the noobie question, but I'm really not familiar with Integrity systems. I tried searching for the answer to this, but I was not successful.
I have an rx2660 server with a failed SAS hard drive. This system is out of warranty, so I need to purchase a new drive. Will this system accept any SAS hard drive, or does the drive require a specific firmware or something that only comes on the HP hard drive?
Thank you!

Re: hard drive compatibility
Hi,
you will always be better of to purchase a HP branded drive to avoid running into issues with disk f/w that has never been tested and hence isn't supported. Simmilar drives are likely cheaper, it all depends how much pain you want to go through in case the non supported drive gives you problems ...
Here is a list of supported HP SAS disk drives for the RX2660 server :
36 GB/15K 2.5" SAS hard disk drive AD378A
72 GB/10K 2.5" SAS hard disk drive AD141A
72 GB/15K 2.5" SAS hard disk drive AD379A
146 GB/10K 2.5" SAS hard disk drive AD333A
300 GB/10K 2.5" SAS hard disk drive AM244A
146 GB/15K 2.5" SAS hard disk drive AM302A
HTH
