iLO3 firmware update using web browser - no file upload option

We are trying to update the iLO3 firmware using a web browser session to the iLO > Administration > Firmware Upgrade. There is no File upload box (like the one available on iLO4). We can only see a box for the URL. Is this normal? We are currently on iLO3 v 1.70

Re: iLO3 firmware update using web browser - no file upload option

Hi,

May i know what model of server is this. Also are you trying to update only ILO firmware (any specific reason)?

If its integrity server, could you please share the MP : CM > sysrev output here?

Thanks.

Re: Integrity iLO3 firmware update using web browser - no file upload option

ILO3 firmware for Integrity is totally different from Proliant ILO3.

Latest version is betelgeuse_ilorom_02_00_03.bin.

If you want to use the ILO webpage, you need to extract the FW bundle until you get the betelgeuse_ilorom_02_00_03.bin file and provide it via a HTTP server to the blade. This HTTP server could be the OA with a USB stick connected to it.

Default methd is to get the bundle file for windows (system_bl8x0c_i4_i6_fw_bndl_win.exe), run the included SUM on your PC and update the blade.

Your running FW is Bundle Version: 47.00, latest bundle is 49.01.

In this case you need to update all the firmware:

Bundle Version: 47.00  (17.Nov 2016)
====================================
System Firmware Version: 02.64
FPGA Firmware Version: 02.02
iLO-3 Firmware Version: 01.71.06
Power Monitor Firmware Version: 03.04
Front Panel HW: 04.00 or 05.00
PRS HW: 02.08
IOH HW: 02.02

Bundle Version: 49.01
====================================
System Firmware Version: 02.68
FPGA Firmware Version: 02.02
iLO-3 Firmware Version: 02.00.03
Power Monitor Firmware Version: 03.04
Front Panel HW: 04.00 or 05.00
PRS HW: 02.08
IOH HW: 02.02
