Integrity rx1600 + smart array 6402 + RAID 1
I've got a rx1600 running Linux Red Hat AS 2.1 with just one 36 GB internal disk.
I have to install a Smart Array 6402 and one more disk in order to make a RAID 1 logical partition with the two disks and conserving the actual running system.
Is there any procedure to follow to acomplish the task ?
Thanks in advance for your tips.
javier

See cable routing guide below.

And for more installation information, check the web below too.

Note: I would suggest you will search your card name at the docs.hp.com web always if you need help.

Re: Integrity rx1600 + smart array 6402 + RAID 1
Are you using and external jbod with the 6402 and your current OS setup on the internal drive controller? If so, just install the 6402, configure the jbod, copy everything over, reset the boot pointer, and you're good.
If you are replacing the internal controller, on the other hand, you'll have to do a backup of the system, change out your controller, use the SA to set up your raid, then restore to the raid.
