Connect a terminal (PC that runs putty - use a null modem cable to connect).
Go to EFI shell and run these commands, post results:
Shell> bcfg dump boot
Shell> reconnect -r
Shell> map -r

SolutionYou should sort the boot entries and move "hpux" from the end of the list to the beginning.
Does it work if you manually select "hpux".
You can also go to Shell and do
Shell> fs0:
fs0:\> cd efi
fs0:\EFI> cd hpux
fs0:\EFI\HPUX> hpux

Did you bring "hpux" to the first position?

After this, save the settings again.
