rx2600 EFI Boot Manager
We have a rx2600 with Debian installed on it. We would like to wipe it clean and install HP-UX on the machine. We can access EFI Boot Manager using minicom but the boot manager won't access input from our console. We would like to select the "Boot from CD-ROM" option to boot using ignite-ux installer. Because the v and ^ don't work, EFI always boots after 10 seconds into Debian. We've tried using different emulations (vt100, vt102) and connecting our null modem cable into both console and remote connector in the rx2600 end. Is there a way around this problem? Can we for example launch ignite-ux from withing Debian?

Re: rx2600 EFI Boot Manager
Try managing the server from the Console serial port (use Hyperterminal from Windows or any other terminal emulator with the 8 bit, No parity, Xon, Xoff, 1 bit, 9600 settings) or
from the Lan console (in the IO Core mngmt card) configuring it at the MP menu (press Ctrl-B during the boot process)
Regards,
Mario.

Re: rx2600 EFI Boot Manager
I've used minicom in basically the same configuration, and didn't have any problems. Does it work using a local keyboard? It may be your console input devices don't include the console. Take a look in your Boot Option Maintenance Menu and see what devices are selected for console output and console input.
