rx2600 server console redisplay question
I have a rx2600 connected to a LCD via the VGA.
But server is telling me that the console is on a serial device and no further output will appear on this output device. I am guess that the console is being displayed in the serial connection on the three headed cable.
My question is how do I get the console to ve redirected to the VGA port. I tried play with the different output option in the boot up section but can't seem to find the right combination. Thx in advance.

Re: rx2600 server console redisplay question
Thanks everyone, I solved the issue by deselecting all the entries, except for the last entry in the boot out menu. It force the display to go to VGA port.

Re: rx2600 server console redisplay question
If you re-direct the console to VGA only, you have no remote access via the MP. Consider to use the graphics display as a X terminal only.
Try this:
Check /etc/dt/config/Xservers.
If last line is commented out as follows:
# * Local local@console /usr/bin/X11/X :0
remove '# ' and restart dtlogin:
# /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc stop
# /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
